It shall be unlawful for any person to operate or use a bicycle propelled wholly or in part by muscular power upon any of the streets, alleys or public highways of the city, without first obtaining from the chief of police a license therefor, and having said license tag, hereinafter provided, attached to the frame of the bicycle.
A onetime license fee to be paid for each bicycle shall be fifty cents ($0.50) and shall be paid in advance. No fee shall be charged for transfer of a license when ownership is transferred as provided under section 9-8-10 of this chapter. (Ord. 08-503, 6-3-2008)
