5-1-8: FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH NOTICE TO ABATE:
In the event the owner(s) or occupant(s) of the property where such nuisance exists fails within the prescribed time to abate such nuisance, such owner(s) or occupant(s), or both, shall be subject to a fine for each day following the date on which the nuisance was to be abated and continuing through the date on which the nuisance was actually abated. The Village shall not be required to issue another notice where the condition or violation is at first abated, but later resumed and/or repeated. Said notice shall constitute valid notice to the owner(s) or occupant(s) at which it is directed to abate any and all identified nuisances at the identified property for the remainder of the calendar year. If any subsequent violations are observed at the property thereafter, the owner(s) or occupant(s) of the property shall be immediately subject to a fine for each day following the date on which such nuisance was observed and continuing through the date on which the nuisance is actually abated.
