The recreation board is authorized to permit village civic bodies, such as churches, societies and other like organizations, to use the gymnasium and auditorium when the same is not required by the activities of the board. The recreation board may authorize and determine any fees to be charged for the use of the gymnasium and auditorium. The village board is empowered to determine from time to time what fees and expenses may be charged by the recreation board for the operation of the gymnasium, auditorium and other village properties, those funds being used to help defray the expense and operation of the village facilities.
