§ 70.04 CHANGES IN CODE.
   The following sections and divisions of the Uniform Traffic Code for Cities, Townships, and Villages are hereby amended or deleted as set forth, and additional sections and divisions are added as indicated. Subsequent section numbers used in this chapter shall refer to the like numbered section of the Uniform Traffic Code, as amended from time to time.

   (A)   Current regulations. Section 6, “Current regulations,” is added to read: All intersection stops and yield right-of-way requirements; regulations on stopping, standing, or parking; one-way streets, roadways, and alleys; crosswalks, restricted turns, through streets; play streets; angled parking zones; all-night parking restrictions; curb loading zones; public carrier stands; parking meter zones and spaces; weight restrictions; no-passing zones; and speed limits and traffic control devices heretofore established and effective on the effective date of this code shall be deemed established hereunder, and shall remain effective until rescinded or modified as herein provided.

   (B)   Effective on school property. Section 7, “Ordinance effective on school property,” is added to read: The provisions of this chapter relating to the operation, parking without fees, and the speed of motor vehicles shall also be effective upon the property of the public schools of the village.

   (C)   Careless driving.
      (1)   Section 8, “Careless driving,” is amended to read: Any person who drives any vehicle upon a highway or any other place open to the general public, including any area designated for the parking of motor vehicles, without due caution and circumspection and at a speed or in a manner so as to endanger, or be likely to endanger, any person or property, shall be guilty of careless driving.
      (2)   Additionally, the following is added to read: Reckless Driving. Any person who drives any vehicle upon a highway or any other place open to the general public, including any area designated for the parking of motor vehicles, carelessly and heedlessly, in willful or wanton disregard of the rights or safety of others, shall be guilty of reckless driving.
