§ 131.02 PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY.
   It shall be unlawful for the parent, guardian, or other person having the legal care and custody of a minor under the age of 17 years to permit the minor to loiter, wander, stroll, or play in, or upon, the public streets, highways, alleys, parks, playgrounds, public places, places of amusement, vacant lots, or other unsupervised places in the village between the hours of 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. official village time on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of each week, and between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. official village time on Friday and Saturday of each week; providing, however, that the provisions of this section do not apply to a minor accompanied by his or her parent, guardian, or other person of majority age having the legal care and custody of the minor, or when the minor is actually engaged upon an emergency errand, or actually engaged in legal business directed by his or her parent, guardian, or other person having the legal care and custody of the minor, or when the minor is engaged in a useful occupation by virtue of a work permit, or is going to, or returning home from, the work, by the shortest route. Each violation of the provisions of this section shall constitute a separate offense.
