§ 33.018  SICK DAYS.
   (A)   Full-time employees are eligible for five days of paid personal days leave per year after completion of one year of service. The personal day leave for new employees will be prorated over the remaining weeks after their first anniversary of their hire date. Part-time and temporary employees are not eligible for paid personal days. All paid personal days must be taken in the calendar year it is earned or it will be forfeited. Personal days cannot be carried over to the following year. Unused paid personal days will not be paid upon an employee’s termination. The Clerk-Treasurer shall be responsible for maintaining permanent records for accumulated personal days leave claimed and taken.
   (B)   Paid personal days may be used by full-time employees who have completed one full year of employment who are absent from work for any purpose at the employee’s discretion. Personal days cannot be used in the event an employee is on suspension to supplement the missing day.
