§ 33.017  VACATION.
   Full-time employees are eligible for two weeks of vacation leave after completion of one year of service. The vacation leave for new employees will be prorated over the remaining weeks after their first anniversary of their hire date. Part-time and temporary employees are not eligible for vacation leave. An employee is eligible for three full weeks of vacation after completing ten full years of service. An employee is eligible for four weeks of vacation after completing 15 years of service. The additional weeks of vacation for employees with ten and 15 years of service will be implemented the calendar year following their tenth and fifteenth anniversaries. All vacation time must be taken in the calendar year it is earned or it will be forfeited. Vacation time cannot be carried over to the following year. Unused vacation may be paid to an employee who resigns and provides at least one month written notice. All vacation time will be scheduled at the employee’s discretion and subject to the department head’s approval. Vacation shall be scheduled in not less than one-half day increments.
