(a) Any person convicted of a criminal offense pursuant to the Municipal Code in the Perrysburg Municipal Court, other than a minor misdemeanor, and as a consequence of such conviction is confined in the County Jail or workhouse as provided in Ohio R.C. 1905.35, shall reimburse the City for its expenses incurred by reason of such confinement, including, but not limited to, the expenses relating to the provision of food, clothing and shelter.
(b) The amount of the reimbursement required to be made by the inmate shall be determined in accordance with the applicable provisions of the Ohio Revised Code.
(c) The Law Director is hereby authorized to institute an appropriate civil action in the name of the City, in the Court of Common Pleas of the county in which the County Jail or workhouse is located, to recover from the inmate the reimbursement for the expenses of his confinement as determined in accordance with subsection (b).
