The provisions of State law for pre-trial license seizure and suspension shall apply when a person is charged with violating Section 333.01(a) of the Municipal Code. The pre-trial license suspension decision shall be made at the initial appearance. It shall not be necessary for police officers or the prosecutor to appear on the question of whether there should be a pre-trial license suspension; and the court within its discretion shall make this determination concerning computer output, information available at the court, and any statements that the defendant or his representative wishes to make.
