141.11 HOLIDAY PAY.
   (a)   The following holidays are hereby established and each regular full-time employee shall be paid for such holidays at his or her assigned base rate of compensation:
      (1)   First day of January;
      (2)   Third Monday in February;
      (3)   Last Monday in May;
      (4)   Fourth of July;
      (5)   First Monday of September;
      (6)   Second Monday in October;
      (7)   Eleventh day of November;
      (8)   Fourth Thursday in November;
      (9)   Twenty-fifth day of December; and
      (10)   Any day appointed and recommended by the Governor of Ohio, the President of the United States, or Council.
   (b)   Each nonsalaried employee of the City working the day before or the day after a holiday specified in subsection (a) hereof shall be paid for an additional eight-hour day for the week in which the holiday occurs.
   (c)    If any of the aforesaid holidays falls on Saturday, the Friday immediately preceding shall be observed as the holiday and in the event that any of the aforesaid holidays falls on Sunday, the Monday immediately succeeding shall be observed as the holiday.
   (d)    All holiday pay, as set forth hereinabove, shall be considered separate and apart from all other employment conditions and when an employee, with the exception of executive and administrative classifications, is required to work on the day observed as a holiday, he or she shall be entitled to pay for such time worked in addition to holiday pay. When an employee is in a classified position of professional, executive or administrative nature and is required to work on any day observed as a holiday, he or she shall be granted compensatory time off from his duties within six months thereafter.
