(a) Portable storage containers such as “PODS” (Portable on Demand Storage)/shipping containers, mobile storage units, temporary containers, or any kind of similar type of storage container shall be located on properties only behind the front setback line and not to exceed thirty (30) days in any one year period except as set forth in Section (b).
(b) Portable storage and moving containers may be placed in front of the setback line only on a driveway for a period not to exceed five (5) consecutive days of any calendar year. In the event such container(s) are placed as described herein, the owner of the property on which the container(s) are parked shall obtain a permit from the Rossford Police Department indicating the date and time of the commencement of the placement and the date and time of the termination of the placement. Only two (2) such permits shall be allowed in any calendar year for any one property owner. During all other times, any such container(s) may be placed behind the required front yard setback. In the case of a corner lot, the container(s) shall also be located behind the required side yard setback line.
