111.12 STANDING AND SPECIAL COMMITTEES.
   (a)    Each member of Council shall serve on three of the standing committees of Council. Members shall be appointed to these committees by the Mayor with confirmation of Council. The standing committees shall be:
      (1)   Finance and Insurance
      (2)   City Facilities, Parks & Marina
      (3)   Recreation
      (4)   Public Safety & Health
      (5)   Public Works
      (6)   Zoning Regulations, Nuisance Abatement and Technology
      (7)   Economic Development & Planning

   (b)    Special committees may be created by a majority vote of the Council members present at any regular or special meeting. Members shall be appointed to these committees by the Mayor with confirmation of Council.
   (c)    Members of the standing and special committees shall select one of themselves to act as Secretary to the Committee. The Secretary shall keep a record of attendance, business transacted and supply the Solicitor with information necessary for preparation of any ordinances or resolutions requested by the Committee.
