(a) Regular Council meetings shall be held on the second and fourth Monday nights of each month, commencing at 6:00 pm at the Municipal Building. In the months of July and August, Council may dispense with one of its regular meetings. Whenever the Monday for the regular meeting is a holiday, the meeting shall be held the following Tuesday at 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise provided by vote on motion. (Ord. 2022-02. Passed 1-24-22.)
(b) Special Council meetings may be called by vote of Council at any regular or special meeting of Council. They also shall be called by the Clerk of Council upon the written request of the Mayor or of the President of Council or three members of Council. Any requests shall state the time, place and date thereof, and the subject or subjects to be considered.
(c) Committee of the Whole meetings shall be held on the first Monday of each calendar month at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Building. Council may change the date or dispense with the meeting by majority vote of those present at any meeting. Council, at any regular or special meeting, upon motion and majority vote of those present, may resolve itself into the Committee of the Whole and the presiding officer shall then leave the Chair and the President of Council shall preside.
(d) Standing and special committee meetings may be called by the Chairperson or two members of the committee. Proper notice shall be given to each member prior to meetings.
