If any automobile service station becomes abandoned, such automobile service station shall be presumed to be a public nuisance affecting or endangering surrounding property values and to be detrimental to the public health, safety, convenience, comfort, property or general welfare of the community and shall be abated. "Abandonment" means a failure to operate such automobile service station for a total of 180 days in any eighteen month period, exclusive of legal holidays.
