When any animal belonging to any person residing in this municipality shall die, such person shall promptly cause the same to be buried at least three feet (3') underground or cause the same to be disposed of by authorized personnel. It shall be unlawful to dispose of dead animals with solid waste or yard waste. If the owner of any dead animal cannot be found, the person upon whose property it is shall notify the local health officer who will cause it to be removed and disposed of by authorized personnel.
