§ 90.02 PURPOSE FOR ANIMAL CONTROL REGULATIONS.
   Pursuant to authority granted by the N.C. General Assembly, these animal control regulations are enacted to regulate, restrict or prohibit animals, if necessary; to protect the public from unvaccinated, diseased, stray, roaming, dangerous, wild or exotic animals; to protect animals from abuse or conditions harmful to their well-being; to protect the peace and safety of the community from unlawful acts of animals; and to provide a means for enforcing state, county and town law.
