Each person riding a bicycle on a roadway or on any bikeway set aside for the exclusive use of bicycles shall be granted all the rights and shall be subject to all of the duties applicable to the driver of a motor vehicle under this subchapter, except as to special regulations in this subchapter and except as to those provisions which by their nature can have no application.
