The Committee shall consist of up to nine members who shall be residents of the village, community partners or members of the village business community, appointed by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Village Board of Trustees. All members of the Committee shall be appointed for terms of one year, and provided further, however, that all members appointed to the Committee shall continue to serve from and after their appointment until such time as a successor has been appointed and sworn. Any vacancies occurring in the membership of the Committee shall be filled by appointment by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Village Board for the balance of the unexpired term. Two of the members so appointed by the Village President shall also be designated at the time of appointment as Co-Chairpersons of the Committee, who shall serve as co-chairs of the Committee during their one year term.
