There is hereby created and established a committee to be known as the Romeoville Conservation and Sustainability Committee, the purposes of which shall be to provide assistance and guidance to the village in promoting conservation, environmental stewardship and sustainability for the benefit of current and future generations of village residents. The Committee will generate ideas, suggestions and recommendations on the development and implementation of conservation measures and sustainable practices, and will engage in education, outreach and the development of community initiatives within the village to encourage residents and the village business community to adopt and implement conservation measures and sustainable practices.
