All persons, firms, organizations, or entities owning or operating existing businesses within the Village of Romeoville that are not exempt from the provisions of this chapter shall apply for and obtain an initial business license under the provisions of this chapter not later than 30 days from the date of the adoption of this chapter. Such initial business license shall be valid and in effect from issuance until December 31, 2021. After December 31, 2021, all persons, firms, organizations, or entities owning or operating existing businesses within the village that are not exempt from the provisions of this chapter shall apply for and obtain business licenses in accordance with and subject to the provisions of § 113.17.
