§ 37.89 ELECTED OFFICIALS' ADMINISTRATIVE COMPLIANCE.
   Unless and only to the extent required by otherwise applicable law, and in order to maintain the ability to demonstrate appropriate regulatory compliance, all elected officials of the village shall be solely and individually responsible for the performance of such administrative actions as may be required by applicable governmental agencies or bodies having jurisdiction (including but not limited to the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, the Internal Revenue Service, the Illinois Department of Revenue or the village pursuant to any applicable provisions of this Code) with respect to the receipt of, taxation of, or entitlement to any compensation or benefits provided by the village to village elected officials. Without otherwise limiting the generality of the foregoing, all elected officials of the village shall be expected to document that they devote not less than 1,000 hours each year in the performance of their duties of office.
