Sworn officers of the Romeoville Police Department may use the arrest citation form and procedure at their discretion, whenever the same is deemed to be in the best interests of the provision of efficient and effective law enforcement services to the village. In the event that an issued arrest citation is not settled or resolved as permitted by and in accordance with the terms set forth within the arrest citation, the village shall proceed to prosecute the underlying ordinance violation with the local Romeoville Branch Court of the Circuit Court for the 12th Judicial Circuit, or to prosecute the underlying ordinance violation under the provisions of Chapter 42A as an administrative hearing matter.
