From and after the commencement of their terms of office, the next elected Village President, Village Clerk and Village Trustees sworn in following the conclusion of the full terms of the Village President, Village Clerk and Village Trustees in office as of the effective date of this section shall be prohibited from accepting or receiving any form of compensation or income of any kind for providing services or performing any form of work for any city or village that is contiguous to the village, whether such compensation or income is derived from an employment, independent contracting, consulting or other relationship with such city or village.
