§ 91.58 RAPID ENTRY KEY BOX (KNOX BOX) AND CRITICAL DOCUMENT CABINET.
   (A)   All buildings or complexes other than one- and two-family residential buildings shall have a rapid entry key box. The model and manufacturer of the rapid entry key box to be used shall be supplied by the vendor currently required by the Romeoville Fire Department.
   (B)   The location of the key box shall be determined by the Fire Marshal with a height between five to six feet from ground level.
   (C)   Additional key boxes shall be required where determined by the Fire Department.
   (D)   All keys required to gain entry to any area interior or exterior will be provided in the box(es) including electronic access cards or codes if used.
   (E)   If changes are made to the locks, the Fire Department shall be notified immediately to change the keys located in the box.
   (F)   Occupancies containing special hazards as determined by the Fire Prevention Bureau may be required to provide a separate critical document cabinet. The information shall be stored in the cabinet located in the fire command room or as directed by the fire code official. The model of the cabinet shall be the type and of the manufacturer used by the Romeoville Fire Department.
