§ 91.56 LOCATION AND HEIGHT OF FIRE DEPARTMENT CONNECTIONS.
   (A)   The Fire Department Connection (FDC) shall be located within 75 feet of a fire hydrant, accessible from a fire lane and visible on a street front or other location approved by the Fire Marshal.
   (B)   The FDC shall not be less than two feet and not more than three and one-half feet in elevation, measured from grade to centerline on FDC inlet.
   (C)   There shall be a clearance of five feet in all directions and no obstructions to the front of the FDC. Any obstructions shall be removed immediately, including landscaping, plantings, bushes or trees shall not be permitted to be installed in front of the FDC connection or within five feet either side of the connection.
   (D)   A remote FDC shall be required if the distance from the FDC to the fire hydrant or fire apparatus access is greater than 75 feet.
