(A) All sprinkler and standpipe systems shall be provided with at least one, 5" Storz Fire Department connection with a 30-degree elbow toward grade. The single connection shall be capable to supply the entire system.
(B) All Fire Department connections that feed the automatic sprinkler system shall have a round wall plate on the connection that reads “AUTO SPKR”, for connections that feed both standpipe and sprinkler system shall have a round wall plate on the connection that reads “STANDPIPE – AUTO SPKR” and for connections that feed the standpipe or hose valves shall have a round wall plate at the connection that reads “STANDPIPE” on the connection.
(C) An outdoor rated red lens strobe shall be provided. It shall be connected to the fire alarm system and activate when the fire sprinkler water flow occurs anywhere in the system. It shall be installed directly above the Fire Department connection(s) on the exterior wall, at a height of eight to ten feet from the centerline on FDC inlet.
