§ 91.46 PROVISION FOR WATER AND FIRE HYDRANTS.
   (A)   No building shall be constructed until such time the Village Fire Chief or Fire Marshal has approved the location and type of fire hydrants. Each hydrant shall meet ANSI/AWWA C502, U1246 AND FM 1510 STANDARDS. Fire hydrants shall have a ‘Harrington’ 5" Storz pumper nozzle with two 2-1/2" NST hose nozzles.
   (B)   Fire hydrants shall be spaced at 300 feet maximum. Where required by the Fire Marshal, water mains shall be looped around sites, buildings or complexes and hydrants spaced no more than 300 feet apart. All private system fire hydrants shall be painted yellow to identify them. Public system fire hydrants shall be painted red.
   (C)   Dead end mains shall not be allowed in residential subdivisions or in commercial and industrial parks.
   (D)   Fire hydrants located in commercial or industrial parking areas, dock areas or along fire lanes shall be protected by concrete bollards.
