§ 35.152 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
   The DDDC shall serve as an independent commission of the village, and shall be responsible for selecting an area of the village to be developed or redeveloped as a downtown district, evaluating and reviewing the necessary and desirable characteristics of a downtown district, both in terms of the types of uses and developments which should be contained within such a district and in terms of the standards to which uses and developments contained within such a downtown district should adhere, receiving and reviewing submittals from village staff, consultants and other persons with respect thereto, preparing necessary and appropriate legislation to further and carry out the duties and responsibilities of the DDDC as herein contained for review and consideration by the Village Board, and providing advice and comment to the Village Board on matters pertinent to the creation, growth and development of a downtown district within the Village of Romeoville, as well as performing such other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time by the Village Board. The decisions, actions, recommendations and policies of the DDDC shall be advisory in nature and shall not be binding on the Village Board in any way.
