§ 33.21 POLICE CHIEF TO DIRECT AUXILIARY UNIT; OATH; IDENTIFICATION.
   The police auxiliary unit shall function under the immediate direction of the Chief of Police or in his absence, the senior regular officer on duty. Before entering on his duties, each member shall take and subscribe to the same oath of affirmation as provided by the statutes to be taken and subscribed by all municipal officers. After subscribing to his oath of office, each member of the police auxiliary unit shall be issued an official commission card to be signed by the President. This card shall be retained in the personal possession of the member at all times.
