All commissioned police officers of the village including all officers holding exempt ranks shall reside within such area of residency as may be designated from time to time in the then-current collective bargaining agreement applicable to commissioned officers of the Romeoville Police Department that do not hold exempt ranks. All probationary police officers shall be required to reside within such area of residency as of the date on which an officer shall be commissioned.
