(A) The Village Administrator or his designee is authorized to erect and maintain "Safe School Zone" signs which will inform the public that increased penalties will be imposed for illegal activity within the 1,000-foot area around public and private elementary and secondary schools.
(B) Such signs shall be erected on public rights-of-way in conspicuous places no more than 1,000 feet from such schools.
