§ 110A.06 LICENSE ISSUANCE.
Upon receipt of the application fee and the application, the Village Clerk shall issue the license to the applicant if the business is already in operation as of the effective date of passage of this chapter, or if the applicant has already obtained a license for a clothes modeling establishment for the prior year. When the application is not for renewal, but for a new license, and the business was not in operation before the effective date of this chapter, the Village Clerk shall refer the application to the Village President, who shall make inquiry into whether the applicant or the manager of the establishment, or any employees of the establishment, have ever been convicted of a felony or theft under the laws of the state or other jurisdiction. If no such convictions are disclosed in the Village President's investigation, he shall issue the license within one month after it was submitted to the Village Clerk.
