Any dog or cat impounded may be redeemed by the owner on payment of a release fee plus a boarding fee for each day the dog or cat has been impounded, and the purchase of license tags if current tags have not previously been obtained. The fees shall be paid to the Village Clerk. If the dog or cat is not redeemed within seven days after being impounded, it may be disposed of in a humane manner at the discretion of the Police Department or Animal Warden.
