(A) The Chairperson shall have charge over all the property belonging to the village and not in the particular charge of any officer. He or she shall preside over all meetings of the Board of Trustees. Unless otherwise specifically provided, he/she shall be the purchasing agent for the village. All financial reports of the Village Clerk/Treasurer shall be audited by said Chairperson, if found correct, the same shall be endorsed and shall be filed in the office of the Village Clerk. The Chairperson shall also be bonded. The Chairperson and the Board of Trustees will also receive as compensation $25 per meeting payable in June and December. This may be changed by resolution of the Board should it become necessary.
(B) In the absence of the Chairperson, the Vice Chairperson shall have authority to act in any and all manners in which the Chairperson has authority to act. The Vice Chairperson shall be bonded. The Vice Chairperson shall receive the same compensation as the Chairperson and the Board of Trustees as outlined in division (A) above.
