(A) Deposits will be collected from new customers based on an average of six months usage at such location from October through March. The amount of the deposit shall be a total of two months’ average usage. If a six-month average is not available, then the deposit will be based on a two months’ average of the available months.
(B) (1) Deposits may be transferred to another location within the town electrical service area for customers after two years, and the customer’s account has been kept current.
(2) Customers of less than two years will have such deposits refunded after first being applied to any balance owed for service and will be charged a new deposit charge for their new location.
(3) Deposits will not be refunded until the customer moves from the electrical service area of the town. The customer’s deposit shall first be applied to any outstanding balance owed on their bill. The customer shall not be paid any interest on his or her deposits by the town.
(C) Deposit for new service will be determined by the size of service required to fulfill electrical load requirements at new service location.
