(A) When the town office of the town receives a check that is not honored when presented for payment, is authorized to collect a protest fee of up to $20 for each dishonored check received.
(B) The office of the County Prosecuting Attorney is hereby authorized to collect a service fee up to $20 for each dishonored check which it processes for collection.
(C) All protest fees collected for the town office of the town and service fees collected are to be considered General Fund miscellaneous revenue, subject to the normal appropriation process by the town fiscal body, and shall be remitted directly to the Clerk-Treasurer of the town.
