I.C. 36-7-9 et seq. is adopted by the town for enforcement of building standards.
(A) Role of Building Commissioner. The Building Commissioner is appointed by the Town Council as the executive department responsible for the administration of building standards in the town.
(B) Hearing Authority. The Town Manager is hereby appointed as the hearing authority for all purposes of I.C. 36-7-9-7 et seq.
(C) Substantial property interest. A person shall be deemed to have a “substantial property interest” if he or she is the holder of the fee simple title, or a portion thereof, or is purchasing the subject property on contract, which has been duly recorded in the Recorder’s office of the county.
