§ 112.01 LICENSE REQUIRED FOR ITINERANT OR TRANSIENT BUSINESSES.
   It shall be unlawful, except as provided by § 112.02, for any person anywhere within the corporate limits of the town to do the following by means of traveling door-to-door between residences or businesses without prior invitation to do so by an owner or occupant of such premises; or by operating out of or from a vehicle, mobile cart or portable stand not constituting a fixed place of business; or by displaying or selling or offering for sale any commodity on any public walk, street, alley or other public property; or by operating as a transient merchant as defined by I.C. 25-37-1-2; unless such person obtains a license and pays a fee as hereafter provided:
   (A)   Sell, offer to sell or display with intent to sell, any merchandise, goods, produce, subscriptions, tickets, memberships or similar matters, either for present or future delivery; or
   (B)   Offer to perform any work or provide any services for pay or profit by contract or by any means other than as a regular employee or agent of the person to whom such offer is made.
