Any construction that will include the addition of an impervious surface area (for example, streets, commercial roofs, patio, or parking area, new single-family dwellings, or any combination thereof) greater than 1,000 square feet and less than 10,000 square feet requires a Class 1 grading and drainage permit. The issuance of a grading and drainage permit shall constitute an authorization to do only that work which is described on the approved sketch. A Class 1 grading and drainage permit shall be valid for one year after the date of issuance.
