(A) The county, by the passage of this subchapter, hereby establishes a Code Hearing Unit pursuant to the provisions of 55 ILCS 5/5-41005 et seq., a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
(B) This Unit shall be known as the County Code Hearing Unit and shall be authorized to conduct administrative adjudications for the county and its departments concerning alleged violations of county ordinances relating to the following:
(1) Animal control;
(2) The definition, identification, and abatement of public nuisances;
(3) The accumulation, disposal, and transportation of garbage, refuse, and other forms of solid waste;
(4) The construction and maintenance of buildings and structures;
(5) Sanitation practices; and
(6) Zoning.
