The County Board Chairperson is authorized and empowered to grant and issue permits for supervised public displays of fireworks in the county outside the corporate limits of any city, village, or incorporated town upon a proper application therefor by any group of three or more adult individuals, residents in the territory, being filed with the County Board office pursuant to the terms and provisions, of state law. This permit shall be issued only after inspection of the display site by the County Sheriffs Department, or his or her representative, to determine that the display shall not be hazardous to property or endanger any person or persons (425 ILCS 35/2).
