§ 91.008 FEES.
   (A)   Pursuant to the provisions of 510 ILCS 5/3 the following license fees shall be charged by the county as an annual fee:
 
Altered dog or cat

Late fee (after 30 days)

Service/guide dog

Unaltered dog or cat

   (B)   Fees shall be due within 30 days of the anniversary date of the rabies inoculation.
   (C)   Pursuant to the provisions of 510 ILCS 5/10, the following redemption fees shall be charged by the county:
 
Boarding (per day)

Impoundment fee (licensed)

Impoundment fee (not licensed)

Microchip
$15
Rabies vaccination
$15
 
   (D)   If an owner’s dog is required to be quarantined for a ten-day rabies observation, the owner shall pay a rabies observation fee of $150 in addition to any other fees that may be required.
   (E)   If an owner’s dog is required to be surrendered or euthanized per the owner’s request for any reason, the owner shall pay a release fee of $20 or euthanasia fee of $20.
   (F)   If an owner’s dog is found running at large, the dog’s owner shall pay a $25 public safety fine, $20 of which shall be deposited into the Pet Population Control Fund and $5 of which shall be retained by the county.
   (G)   The owner of any impounded dog or cat who desires to make redemption thereof shall pay a $25 public safety fine to be deposited into the Pet Population Control Fund; the fine shall be waived if it is the dog’s or cat’s first impoundment and the owner has the animal spayed or neutered within 14 days.
