§ 31.42 CHIEF TO ASSIGN DUTIES; AUTHORITY.
   (A)   (1)   The Chief of Police shall have charge of the police force and shall assign such duties to the police officers as he or she thinks best for the good order of the city.
      (2)   He or she shall be responsible to the City Manager in seeing that the police officers faithfully perform their duties.

   (B)   The Chief of Police of the city is authorized and empowered to prepare, adopt, and enforce written rules, regulations, and procedures for the administration and internal organization of the City Police Department, subject to the approval of the City Manager.
