The members shall serve for a period of three years. The initial officers will be appointed as follows: three members appointed to a one-year term; three members appointed to a two-year term; and three members appointed to a three-year term. The following year, and each year thereafter, three members shall be appointed to a three-year term, thus providing staggered terms for the Commission members. Vacancies shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired term only. All members of the Commission shall receive a stipend as provided by the Village Board in the appropriation ordinance.
