The Planning and Zoning Commission shall consist of nine members; said members to be residents of the village, appointed by the President and the Village Board, on the basis of their particular fitness for their duty on the Commission and subject to the approval of the Village Board. The President shall, subject to approval of the Village Board, appoint one of the nine members to be the Chairperson of the Planning and Zoning Commission. The appointment of the Chairperson shall be for the remainder of the Chairperson’s term of office; however, the President shall, subject to approval of the Village Board, have the authority to end the appointment and appoint a different member as Chairperson.
