§ 111.017 EXAMINATION OF APPLICANT.
   The Local Commissioner shall have the right to examine or cause to be examined, under oath, any applicant for a local license or for renewal thereof, or any licensee upon whom notice of revocation or suspension has been served in the manner hereinafter provided, and to examine or cause to be examined, the books and records of any such applicant or licensee; to hear testimony and take proof for the Local Commissioner’s information in the performance of the Local Commissioner’s duties, and for such purpose to issue subpoenas which shall be effective in any part of this state. For the purpose of obtaining any of the information desired by the Local Commissioner under this section, the Local Commissioner may authorize one or more agents to act on the Local Commissioner’s behalf. The Local Commissioner shall cause a background check to be made of the applicant, including any owner of more than 5% of any applicant, and shall charge the applicant an amount in addition to any license fee for any fee incurred by the village in connection with the background check.
