§ 30.30 SALARIES OF VILLAGE OFFICIALS.
   The following salaries are hereby established for elected village officials:
   (A)   President. The President shall receive $6,000 per year.
   (B)   Trustees. The Village Trustees shall receive $2,600 per year. In addition, Village Trustees shall be entitled to a stipend of $30 per village committee meeting attended if the Village Trustee is a member of said village committee or per other meeting attended if ordered to attend by the Village President. Village Trustees may earn up to a maximum total yearly stipend amount of $1,200.
   (C)   Village Clerk. The Village Clerk shall be paid a salary of $2,600 per year. In addition, the Village Clerk shall be entitled to a stipend of $30 per village committee meeting attended if the Village Clerk is required to attend said meeting or per other meeting attended if ordered to attend by the Village President. The Village Clerk may earn up to a maximum total yearly stipend amount of $1,200.
   (D)   Village Treasurer. The Village Treasurer shall be paid the sum of $2,500 per year.
   (E)   Deputy Clerk stipend. Beginning May 1, 2017, the Deputy Clerk shall be paid $30 per village or committee meeting clerked.
   (F)   Village appointed committee stipend changes. Beginning May 1, 2017, a village appointed committee Chair shall be paid $30 per committee meeting attended. A village appointed committee Vice Chair shall be paid $30 per committee meeting attended. Village appointed committee members shall be paid $20 per committee meeting attended.
   (G)   Village Code Inspector. The Village Code Inspector shall be paid $30 per Planning and Zoning Committee meeting attended. The Village Code Inspector may, at his or her discretion, choose to receive overtime pay in lieu of receiving the stipend provided that the Village Code Inspector is a full- time employee of the village.
   (H)   Village appointed committees. It is hereby acknowledged that the only village appointed committee currently in existence is the Planning and Zoning Committee. Any additional committee formed by the Board must be designated as a village appointed committee for this section to be applicable to its Chair and members.

Editor’s note:
   The salaries of elected officials who hold elective office for a definite term shall neither be increased nor diminished during that term and shall be fixed at least 180 days before the beginning of the terms of the officers whose compensation is to be filed.
   The ordinance fixing compensation for members of the corporate authorities shall specify whether those members are to be compensated (i) at an annual rate; or (ii) for each meeting of the corporate authorities actually attended if public notice of the meeting was given.
