§ 34.07 SPECIAL POLICE.
   (A)   Whenever the public safety requires an increase of the police force, in the judgment of the Board of Public Works and Safety or, in the case of emergency, the Mayor shall appoint as many suitable persons as may be necessary to act as special police, who shall be sworn in and furnished with police equipment. They shall be under the control of the Chief of Police when they are on duty.
   (B)   The city may grant authority to the Rochester Community School Corporation to provide security/school resource officer(s) under the authority of the special police.
      (1)   The officer(s) are to be provided at the expense and liability of the Rochester Community School Corporation.
      (2)   The officer(s) are to provide primary police service to the Rochester Community School Corporation and its grounds at the direction of the School Superintendent and School Board.
