§ 34.06 DUTIES PERFORMED UNDER SUPERVISION OF MAYOR.

The Chief of Police has exclusive control of the police department subject to the rules and orders of the Board of Public Works and Safety. However, in times of emergency, the Chief of Police is, for the time being, subordinate to the Mayor and shall obey the Mayor’s orders and directions, notwithstanding any law or rule to the contrary.
