§ 34.05 ADVANCEMENT AND COMPENSATION.
   (A)   Upon first being appointed, a police officer with no experience must serve at least 12 months in the probationary class before becoming eligible for promotion to police officer.
   (B)   With prior experience before appointment to the Police Department, a police officer starting the probationary class may receive a pay raise prior to promotion to first class officer, at the discretion of the Board of Public Works.
